Upon graduation, he stayed in Oberlin with his wife Nahuja, to run the Shule until the 1980s. During this time he received his Master in Education at Cleveland State University in Curriculum and Instruction while he was running the Shule. In 1980, Lomotey attended Stanford University to receive both a Masters and a Doctorate in Education Administration and Policy Analysis.
