Width 3.8 cm Length 9.6 cm Height 21.5 cm spruce root, glass
Fort Wrangell, Alaska (Tlingit), date unknown Collector: Sherry Museum ID: SHE.C5.cpq.4607
Likely a tourist item as glass was not native to the region, this item uses woven spruce root in a weaving style similar to that of the Tlingit women. The grass is dyed and from many seasons, and the weaving is meticulously decorated.
